Mobile CCTV & Starlink Trailer
Portable security, Starlink connectivity and off-grid power — customised for your site.
Portable security, internet connectivity and off-grid power in one configurable solution. SpaceTek IT & Communications has developed a Mobile CCTV & Starlink Trailer for temporary, rural and remote sites that need surveillance and practical connectivity without relying on existing fixed infrastructure.
Starting from $12,500 excluding GST. The trailer configurator provides an indicative equipment price, with all listed upgrade prices also excluding GST. SpaceTek IT & Communications will prepare a formal quotation for the agreed specification, including any separately required installation, transport, integration, automation or custom engineering.
Mobile CCTV, Starlink Mini and off-grid power — together
Designed to be moved between projects and locations, our mobile security trailer brings together configurable CCTV, optional Starlink Mini hardware, local Wi-Fi hotspot capability and a solar-and-battery power system. Starlink Mini hardware can be selected in the configurator; customers arrange service activation, their Starlink account and ongoing subscription directly with Starlink. SpaceTek does not include an ongoing Starlink service with the trailer. The system can reduce reliance on permanent site infrastructure, subject to deployment conditions and the selected equipment.
SpaceTek's Mildura-based team can discuss the site, help select appropriate equipment, prepare the trailer for deployment, assist with connectivity and remote access, and quote ongoing technical support where required. The trailer is a configurable solution rather than a one-size-fits-all boxed product.
Why consider a mobile solar CCTV trailer?
- Security and connectivity together: discuss cameras, recording, remote access and a Starlink-connected Wi-Fi network as part of one project.
- Relocatable: designed for changing sites, temporary works and seasonal requirements, with site access and safe positioning assessed before deployment.
- Off-grid capability: solar generation and battery storage can support autonomous operation when appropriately sized for the load and conditions.
- Custom configuration: choose the camera coverage, communications, storage, power and supporting features suited to the job.
- Regional expertise: practical setup, network configuration and after-sales assistance from SpaceTek IT & Communications.
Where a mobile CCTV trailer may help
Applications can include farms and agricultural properties, livestock and equipment monitoring, temporary property security, remote construction sites, roadworks and traffic management projects, events and festivals, mining and exploration worksites, equipment yards, storage areas, remote infrastructure works, temporary site offices, disaster recovery sites, emergency operations and regional work camps.
Each application requires a suitability review. The trailer is not represented as certified traffic-control, emergency-response or specialist safety equipment unless that certification is separately established for the proposed configuration.
What's Included in the Base Trailer?
Starting from $12,500 excluding GST, the standard Mobile CCTV & Starlink Trailer includes the following equipment. This is the base configuration before any optional upgrades or custom modifications.
Trailer and mast
- Standard 6 ft × 4 ft on-road trailer
- SpaceTek folding mast system
- Gas-strut assistance for raising and lowering the mast
CCTV and recording
- Four fixed 4-megapixel CCTV cameras, each with an approximately 110-degree viewing angle
- Cameras positioned to provide overlapping viewing angles around the trailer
- Four-channel network video recorder (NVR)
- 500GB SSD recording storage
The four fixed cameras provide overlapping coverage around the trailer. Actual visibility depends on positioning, terrain and obstructions; complete obstruction-free 360-degree coverage and a fixed recording retention period are not guaranteed.
Solar and battery power
- 300Ah lithium battery
- 440W solar panel capacity
- Basic MPPT solar charge controller and battery/power management system
Customise your trailer
Optional modifications can include PTZ cameras in place of standard fixed cameras, additional CCTV capabilities, increased solar or battery capacity, advanced remote monitoring and control, or other requirements. These are not included in the base price and will be assessed and quoted to suit your intended use.
Additional Options — Request a Quote: A heavier-duty trailer chassis is available for consideration by individual quotation, with no standard upgrade price. In your additional requirements, enter “Heavier-duty trailer required” or describe your terrain, loads, deployment conditions and other needs so SpaceTek can specify an appropriate solution.
All configurator prices exclude GST and provide an indicative equipment estimate. The final specification and any separately required installation, integration, transport, automation or custom engineering will be confirmed in a formal SpaceTek quotation.
Configure the trailer around your project
Rather than assume a fixed bill of materials, we begin with the site and the outcome you need. We can discuss:
- How many CCTV cameras are required, their type and intended coverage
- Local recording, video storage and retention requirements
- Remote CCTV viewing, alerts and optional Victron battery/power monitoring
- Starlink Mini internet connectivity and access arrangements
- Wi-Fi hotspot area and the number of expected users
- Solar generation, battery capacity and expected operating duration
- Routers, point-to-point or point-to-multipoint wireless networking, and additional endpoints
- Trailer access, transport, positioning and deployment conditions
- Additional security features, commissioning and ongoing support
Feature availability and inclusions are determined in the final quotation; no specific camera count, storage allowance or power autonomy is implied by the starting price.
Victron power monitoring and optional remote control
The optional Victron monitoring upgrade enables remote viewing of information about the trailer's battery and power system, subject to compatible equipment and connectivity. The system can also support remote switching and control of compatible equipment when the necessary hardware and integration are specified. Additional switching, automation, control wiring and external system integrations are not included in the $800 monitoring upgrade and require a separately prepared quotation.
Wireless links and remote endpoints
Point-to-point wireless connects the trailer wirelessly to one other compatible location, such as a farm shed, nearby worksite or separate security position. Point-to-multipoint wireless allows the trailer to act as a central hub communicating with several compatible remote locations or satellite trailers. This can help link multiple farm buildings, remote project areas or security positions through a suitably designed wireless network. Additional wireless endpoints are relevant to a point-to-multipoint configuration, with an endpoint at each additional compatible location as required.
The $150 excluding GST additional wireless endpoint option is for equipment supply only, not a complete installed or commissioned connection. Installation, mounting, cabling, commissioning and connection or integration with pumps, telemetry systems or other external equipment may require a separate quotation. For example, a customised setup might link a remote pump, water tank monitoring equipment, farm outbuilding or another security location. These applications need suitable external devices and site-specific configuration; selecting an endpoint alone does not provide pump control, telemetry or monitoring.
Wireless suitability depends on line of sight, terrain, distance and actual site conditions, as well as the selected equipment. SpaceTek can assess practical connectivity options and confirm the required components and work in a formal quote.
Off-grid operation: size the power system for the job
The goal is reliable, autonomous CCTV and connectivity using appropriately sized solar panels and batteries. Actual operating time depends on sunlight, seasonal weather, shading, battery capacity and condition, equipment power consumption and any additional site loads. Continuous operation in all weather cannot be guaranteed. We can quote higher-capacity solar and battery arrangements when a site's requirements call for them.
How a trailer project works
- Tell us about the site: location, intended use, camera coverage and expected duration.
- Discuss your configuration: choose the appropriate CCTV, Starlink, Wi-Fi, storage and off-grid power approach.
- Review a written quote: confirm included components, pricing, setup, delivery/deployment responsibilities and support.
- Prepare and commission: SpaceTek can arrange agreed configuration, network testing and handover.
- Relocate or adapt: discuss any changes needed for the next site, new camera views or different power conditions.
Frequently asked questions
Does the trailer need fixed internet or mains electricity?
It is designed for applications without existing fixed infrastructure, with an appropriately specified solar-and-battery system and optional Starlink Mini hardware. Starlink service is arranged and paid for separately by the customer. Actual suitability is assessed for each location.
Can I connect to Wi-Fi at a remote site?
Wi-Fi hotspot capability can be included. Coverage and useful capacity depend on the selected networking equipment, the site's layout, obstructions and the available internet connection.
How long will the trailer run without sunlight?
That depends on battery storage, camera and networking loads, weather and system configuration. We assess the proposed deployment and can quote a larger system where necessary rather than promising a fixed autonomy figure.
Can I view the cameras remotely?
Remote viewing and recording options can be discussed as part of the CCTV configuration, subject to connectivity, equipment selection, access controls and any applicable service costs.
Is Starlink Mini included, and who pays for the service?
Starlink Mini hardware is an optional configurable item supplied separately from the base trailer. Customers establish and manage their Starlink account, activation and ongoing subscription directly with Starlink; SpaceTek does not supply an ongoing Starlink service with this trailer.
What does Victron remote monitoring include?
It allows remote viewing of information about the trailer's battery and power system when correctly configured and connected. Compatible remote switching and control can also be engineered, but additional switching, automation, wiring and integration need a separate quotation and are not part of the $800 monitoring upgrade.
What is the difference between point-to-point and point-to-multipoint wireless?
Point-to-point connects the trailer to one other compatible location. Point-to-multipoint lets the trailer serve as a hub for multiple remote locations or satellite trailers, using additional compatible wireless endpoints. The $150 excluding GST endpoint option supplies equipment only. Mounting, cabling, commissioning and integration with pumps, telemetry or other equipment may need a separate quote. Feasibility depends on line of sight, terrain, distance and site conditions.
Is this trailer suited to roadworks, events or emergency sites?
These are potential applications subject to a site-specific assessment and any relevant customer, industry or regulatory requirements. We do not claim specialist certifications that have not been verified.
How much does a mobile CCTV and Starlink trailer cost?
Pricing starts from $12,500 excluding GST. All configurator option prices exclude GST and the displayed equipment estimate is indicative. The final written quotation confirms the selected components and any additional installation, integration, automation, transport or custom engineering required.
