SERVICE INFORMATION
Take a working internet connection beyond one building and into the places you need it.
One Connection, Multiple Buildings
Having fast internet in the house does not guarantee usable Wi-Fi at a shed, workshop or staff accommodation. SpaceTek designs property-wide networks using suitable cabling, wireless access points and dedicated point-to-point links.
The solution depends on where the internet arrives, where users and equipment are located and what the links must carry.
Wireless Bridges for Distant Buildings
Point-to-point and point-to-multipoint wireless links may allow an internet or local network connection to reach separate buildings without a long trench. Clear line of sight, mounting height, interference, equipment selection and power must be assessed.
Distance alone is not enough to determine if a wireless bridge will perform suitably.
Farm and Station Applications
Typical requirements include connecting machinery sheds, staff housing, workshops, remote CCTV equipment and administration areas. Property plans and approximate distances help us map the network before selecting gear.
Broadacre environments can require multiple relay points or a mix of fibre, wireless and solar-powered equipment.
Business and Commercial Networking
Businesses with separate depots, workshops, offices or external yards may also benefit from structured Wi-Fi and wireless links. We can integrate suitable access points, switches, routers and site connectivity with an existing business network.
Traffic for staff devices, cameras and phones may have different performance and security needs.
Starlink and NBN Distribution
Whether the incoming service is Starlink, NBN or another suitable connection, internal networking determines how connectivity reaches users. SpaceTek can help distribute that service appropriately without suggesting it creates additional internet capacity.
External internet service performance still depends on the upstream provider and selected plan.
How We Design
Tell us the buildings to connect and approximate separation. We review line of sight, obstacles, cable routes, equipment loads, available power and access constraints. We then propose a design, quote and installation approach and test the agreed links.
Remote sites may require practical onsite measurements before equipment and cost can be finalised.
Support and Expansion
We can assist with network changes, additional access points, replacement equipment and troubleshooting under agreed support arrangements. A documented installation makes future additions easier.
We recommend planning for sensible growth rather than relying on consumer Wi-Fi repeaters throughout a large property.
Frequently Asked Questions
How far can a bridge reach? It depends on equipment, terrain, line of sight and regulatory conditions. Do I need power at both ends? Most active equipment needs power, with solar options available for some sites. Can cameras use the link? Often, if capacity and reliability are suitable. Can one router cover an entire farm? Usually not.
Ask about CCTV, off-grid communications, Starlink installation and suitable networking products.
